Well, I don't think it's part of the golden batch. It bit me for 2 fuel injectors, the hp pump and a turbo hose 3 days after I bought it. It still has an issue that no one can diagnose for me. When I first start it, if I don't let it run for about 10 - 15 minutes to warm up it acts like it is starved for fuel and won't switch gears. It won't really get up to speed in the time it should and I have almost gotten hit twice pulling out on to the highway at the entrance to my subdivision. Once it goes through one cycle of gears or has had time to warm up, it runs like a bat out of hell. I just had the oil changed, had them check the brakes and told him about the issue I am having and his response was that diesels don't like to be cold. I get that but I can't believe that ALL diesels act like this when they are cold. Am I wrong? Paul had mentioned some valve but I forget what he said.

Sorry to hear of the issues bud, my neighbor had the same injectors, pump and turbo issues with his new. IMO that's not common symptoms or my experience with my truck or others I've ridden in to have to warm up like that or that cold natured. I did read or hear it from someone not to mash on them or drive them real hard until it gets to operating temp I try to follow that rule.

My old diesel has a glow plug setup. No fancy common real pressurization of anything like that. I turn the key, get a wait light, start it, another wait light. Once that second light goes off, she's good to go. I usually wait a bit so that the oil has time to loosen up a bit, but really no symptoms in the cold.

Also remember that we have a different definition of cold...
I think you have a problem.

The SRT10 pillar an OEM Mopar part and gauge adapter for the Mini Maxx came in yesterday. It makes for an OEM look and beats the hell out of the suction stalk H & S sent with it. The SR10 pillar also has the grab handle like the OEM pillar there was an aftermarket one out there that didn't have the grab handle. On the 4WD its comes in handy getting in and out of it. Also a pic of the pyro meter electronics mounted to the clutch pedal cap unbolts by two nuts on the inside firewall. I drove it all week and the on board readout shows it picked up 2 1/2 more mpg in town it usually shows 13.5 in town its showing 16 right now. I'm not taking that to the bank but its encouraging to see a sign

Second install picture . Give it two oil changes and you should see a difference in the color of the oil. No more doing an oil change and it being black two seconds latter. Did you install a muffler or straight pipe all the from from turbo back?

Thanks Albert I'm looking forward to some clean oil Its the Diamondeye turbo back with the muffler like below I didn't want any resonating in the cab for those long trips. Its just right IMO still has a growl and hiss of the turbo when you get on it but still quiet enough in the cab that you can have a conversation and hear the radio Don't leave it running next to the wife's flowers very long it'll smolter them pretty quick :whoops:

Definitely not my taste, the stacks should be left for the Big Rigs they look ridiculous on pickup trucks IMO.

Personally, being that it is a dodge I would rather have the capacity than the clearance. I have heard its better than the 48re but watching my trans temp on my dodge after in town/twisted back road driving while pulling a trailer any time the converter was not locked the temp was climbing and would take about 15 miles of locked up driving to get back to normal operating temp.

Would the trans sump hang any lower than your engine sump/frame rails/crossmember? To me on a tow rig durability would trump ground clearance by quite a bit.
