Keep us updated on the HP & mpg increase, larry! Looking forward to the before anf after numbers so to speak.

Will do Lenny, we're gonna see what it does on a weekend trip with with the camper next weekend :)

nice work  I can only imagine the expression on your face after pulling with it the 1st time .

Finished the install of the mini-maxx Saturday night not bad if I had to do another one but I took my time to make the install as clean as I could. The suction mount it came with sucks but overall I like the long list of options the mini-maxx allows you to access as well the diagnostics function. I ordered the SRT10 single gauge pod pillar with the mini-maxx adapter to swap out the suction mount. Looking forward to doing some testing after the exhaust comes in tomorrow :D

Sweet... Should be awesome, Even more because it's a Diesel.. :D

Thanks

My exhaust finally came in yesterday had them install it across the street so not to only clamp it but tack it on each side at each joint so it would hold together longer. Spent 10 min in the parking lot rewriting the Mini Maxx program for DPF and EGR system removed. Sounds decent and breathes 100% better the performace is all smiles. I can see that the mpg's will certainly increase as long as I keep my foot out of it. The analogy that comes to mind is breathing through your nose with a big booger in it and when you blow that sucker out what a diffrence it makes

I'm sure its not the best on the market by far but the fitment was good and the welds look clean and well put together. Package deal saved $100 and change it will serve my needs for what I use it for :meh:

Trying to figure out how I am going to get my camper on my gooseneck. The gooseneck is taller than the cabover on the camper so would have to build a stand for it. Thinking about putting the camper on the deck and down building a storeage area under the front. Biggest thing is how to get a camper with no jacks onto the trailer to start with....

A picture of the truck and trailer... still a long beyatch. Seriously thinking about lopping the last 6 feet of "dove tail" off this thing. In 6 feet it only drops like 4 inches but the ass on this thing swings a good way when turning. Afraid I am gonna clip someone turning in town someday

Ignore the blowout. Got a set of tires coming to replace what looks like the factory tires from 2001

Get some light weight I beams to make a skid for the camper, which you could use to take the camper off when you haul my rig.
I know you have some tractors we can use.

mount the camper over the neck like JS said put light wt C or I beam more storage under camper .
then decide what the longest future vehicle U might have that ya will B a hauling whack it to that length .
if you findvya have a bit of swayback just do a ladder brace can even bow it up a bit if-n U like:)

Since everybody is posting about pull vehicles. Last weekend swapped out the factory muffler for a SS Magnaflow muffler and dropped the Dodge 2" and added Airride bags to the coil springs for when I hook a trailer up to it.... Does that count ??:lol:

Joking aside the work y'll are putting into the trailers and trucks is looking great.

i just wish i had a nice tow rig!

Time to dial in the Tahoe with diesel swap :)

Havent seen it done like that before. If I did not have it with its side to a shed already that would be a plan. My thought right now is to use a highlift to jack up each side to put a 2x4 to use as a skid, then use the winch on the 4runner to just drag it on the deck. Kinda like how they do with the portable buildings they haul on trucks.

use pipe it will roll a whole lot easier

You selling it Mike your just breaking it in :) How'd it tow on the Hot Springs trip?

I have taken it to HS twice now and it did fantastic both times. Sandy wants me to keep it. I just can't get it out of the back of my mind all the problems of the 6.0. I am really rather torn to tell the truth. I know I won't put that many miles per year but I can't get it out of my head that I am going to be stranded on the side of the road with the trailer attached to it. I guess the good news is I can always take the 40 off the trailer and keep going.

Bottom line is if I can get my money back out of it, I will sell it. If not, we'll let it ride.

Glad to hear its doing well for you and I sure understand where your coming from its what kept me from considering one. The good thing on the wheeling trips is usually a buddy isn't to far away plus like you said you always have an additional source of transportation behind you if you need to run for parts or help. Also pays to have a good road service I invested in Good Sam Club for our travels my first time out with the trailer an electric brake locked up South of Branson and drug the tire until it exploded I had to bike half a mile to borrow a 4-Way wasn't very happy or prepared for that with a new camper. Of course our AllState roadside expired the month before we left and never used it  I won't get caught off guard on the trip to Wyoming/Colorado.

I hope the one you have is one out of the good batch there are always some that get a golden egg of the batch an maybe you got one of them but agree if you had a chance to get what you had in it probably wouldn't be a bad call either for peace of mind :)
