hey guys im over here in SD for abit tending to some family stuff and have found a great deal on some toughbook shells

they just need power sources and HDDRs

they are cf-28 with some pretty obvious flak on the outside

there was about 5 (4) 1s mine~ left if anyones interested in em lemme know i can ship em out as is or for abit more i can do the work for you and buy the missing parts and sell them as a whole working unit
($95.00) as is
paypal optional

no pickup unless your in the area:cheers:
asap im not sure when my guys gonna get anouther surplus of them :flipoff2:

If you haven't done so already, do your homework. The hard drive is mounted in a shock mounted caddy. Some resellers rip the caddy out with the HD. The caddys are $$$ to replace, if they're missing, it may not be a good deal.

Are these convertible to make them work as a tablet like our older ones?

No, the CF 28 is a full size. They were made about the same time, so comparable otherwise.

ive found the caddys for 40 bucks and sata to ide MP caddys that go where the floppy/ cd/dvd drive would go for 24 i picked up 2 of these yesterday ill let you guys know how it goes , so far its googling has been a fun project. CF-28 - Terminus has made it alittle less daunting

John - The CF 28 is LapTop mode only and "does not" swivel to tablet mode like ours.

And, after your done using it as a laptop, use it to level the cruiser when camping.

Another tip. Before loading the OS and the drivers, disable the GPS in the BIOS. Until the drivers are installed, Windows recognizes it as a mouse and goes bonkers.

Notebook Review has an extensive forum with all sorts of tips and tricks.

yeah ive been using that sight alot, decuded to scrap the gps that was in it, there 300$ and seem rare but not that useful to todays gps so im gonna tryn fund em some new gps boards or maybe just use cards anyways the place i got them from is out now so thread is nolonger a fyi sale but maybe a build? thread? O.o we'll see

I replaced my internal GPS that took upwards of 30 minutes to lock on to an internal that locks within seconds. Major improvement and do not have to worry about an external plug-in device.
