Toys On The Rocks, the oldest LandCruiser club in Placerville, will be having it's annual 4x4 Show & Shine and Swap Meet April 30 this year. The last Sunday of the month. About 0800 to 1400ish
* technically not IN Placerville, but about 5 miles uphill along Carson Rd, in the Apple Hill area. A very pleasant drive.
We'll be at the Pine-O-Mine Ranch 2620 Carson Rd in Camino, 95709.
There's a nicely resto-modded barn with several taps for dispensing local ales and ciders, a BBQ area out back and a lovely setting to stroll about looking at other rigs.
All rigs are welcome BTW, 15 bucks U.S. to register in the Show. Free to just walk in and gawk.
Plenty of trailer parking if you need that sort of accommodation.

I stopped by Pine-o-mine today to see about how vehicles might be placed and check in with the owners. We're thinking about re-arranging some rocks or chunks of tree to make some sort of ramp, just for fun. They say the apple trees should be blossoming that weekend, might be sorta pretty. And photogenic. Band will start about 1400.

Stopped by the venue again today, just to check in and make sure all was in readimess. And have a pint on a gorgeous day.
I have it on good authority that the apple trees will be in full bloom next week.

Nice. I’d say the Placerville area might be one of the oldest areas for LCs in the US.
