Man if that's not clickbait, I don't know what is.

My 08 200 drowned in a River the weekend before last. I need a new truck and while waiting for the insurance to pull their heads out of their butt, I've been shopping.

Tell me why I shouldn't get an LX instead of another 200.

They are easier to find, seem to have lower miles and seem to even be a little less expensive.

It also seems from my searches that they are easier/cheaper to get some air under with spacers and a sensor lift than the 200 so I can get my 34's back under it. Also seems like I could retain the height adjustment and get it tighter and a little lower on the freeway so I might get a little better mileage than the 11mpg my Rhino got...

So "flood" me with your opinions...

For your further amusement....

Of course I am asking this before I know the story but will insurance even cover this type of damage? I am not sure I would post the story since insurance companies are pretty crafty these days looking for a reason to deny claims.

I can't talk you into a LX, since I would wait for a cruiser, but it sounds like you already know the good reasons why an LX might work as well or better for your uses.

To me they're just a fancier flavor of a cruiser, and if you want those extra luxury and convenience features, and like (or at least can live with) the aesthetic differences then it's an easy choice.

I don't think they swim any better than your cruiser did though. Maybe look into a boat for your watersports needs? :)

I call dibs on your bumper.

I have an LX. I like the finer things in life, remote start, heated steering wheel, AHC suspension. The aftermarket is definitely catching up with more and more options. I do get out and overland on the weekends and on holidays, but for the daily driver the LX cannot be beat.

Where did you get those mirrors?

Because that one guy that's been on my ignore list for about a year will look down on you and never miss an opportunity to share his superiority. The horror!

(Love my LX.)

I have a 2018 Land Cruiser that came new with remote start(port-of-entry install), heated steering wheel, and thankfully without AHC suspension. A previous LX I owned had to have the global accumulators replaced at 52,000 miles to the tune of $4000. It was out of warranty, but fortunately Lexus paid for it after a difficult and extended discussion with the dealer and Lexus.

Love this truck. That ZFG style is on time - respect.

Waiting for the before pic.

LX will get you there and back, same same. I wouldn't count on a gas mileage increase.
