Some buddies and I are considering a run through the Tortolitas.

Does anyone know the status, is it still accessible? If so - does anyone have a link to either a trail map / guide, or have any GPS waypoints?

Thanks - I'll post up if we get some plans solidified.

I grew up riding dirtbikes in those mountains. All the trails I know of on the southern end have turned into golf courses and cookie cutters. There is still some access from rail x ranch rd in Catalina (need a SLP) and from the power line road on the north of the mountains. I've been wanting to go check it out again also, but need to do my wheeling on this monitor and keyboard for a while.

If you go, post up and take some pics!

"SLP" is....... "State Trust Land Pass"?

There used to be a place to get them in Tucson, but that closed. Can you go with a hunting license and a gun (and claim to be hunting rabbits)?

Thanks -

Yep & yep, quail opens tomorrow and goes though Feb. Or bunnies will work also. The Rail x road is more than likely the only place you may be asked.

LOL, the map that is on the link, says it's on the corner of Speedway and Stone.
