Last weekend I finally pulled the AHC and installed my diff drop and OME torsion bars/ with 863 rears.

I have a 02 LX , now my passengers side Torsion bar is "faster to load" or harder to tighten than my drivers side. This seems like an issue, has anyone else had experience with this ?

This is significant I would guess about 1/2 inch difference in the adjusting bolts.

I went with the directions off Slee's website, clocked them 5 splines as suggested

The stiffer bar (marked "A" or LH IIRC) goes on the driver side. They are not "bi-sexiual"

I have the Bar marked LH on the Drivers side,

I am having a difficult time grasping that the one bolt tensioner bolt is taking a load SO much faster than the other.

I know there are a ton of threads re guarding OME torsion bars and lifts,

I keep thinking that Both Tensioner bolts should about the same to lift the front equally.

My AHC was not functioning correctly prior to instilling the lift so I don't have any real base line measurements.

This is something I am still playing around with, as I haven't installed my winch yet. So getting it just right is not my goal.

In another thread some one said something like adding a lift to my 100 put the SPORT back into my SUV. I will have to agree, with my AHC acting up my LX was supper uncomfortable, seemed like it was rolling all over the place. I had the 863's in my 80 when I sold it and really liked how they felt. I really like the ride in my 100 as well, haven't hooked up the boat with the lift but it feels really nice going down the road.

I reread the directions, and believe that they are set up clocked correctly 5 splines. However it would seem to me that the adjustment bolts should be similar, there is a significant difference

Anyone have a pic of how much thread is left on the torsion bar adjusting bolt ? looking at the one from Slee it appears there is about 1/2 inch

(I have been making all adjustments with the front wheels off the ground)

How about good center of hub to fender measurements before and after (with winch & winch bumper installed )

Jason,

I changed out the AHC for OME suspension on the wife's '05 LX. When I installed the torsion bars it was the opposite for me (as I understood you saying it). The right hand bolt for the torsion bar was more difficult to turn than the left hand. I got the front right and front left height adjusted to within .25" of each other... R/H 20.50", L/H 20.25 (this was two days ago). I just measured the vehicle and the only change has been the L/H which is now 19.75". I followed Slee's directions and clocked them 5 splines as suggested. I am nearly bottomed out on the bolts so I may have to reindex them a little more to get more spring.

I know this doesn't really help you much, but I wanted you to know that you aren't the only one this happened to.

I have not been making any adjustments to my initial set up,

At the time of my original post, I had installed T-Bars and 863 rears along with the diff drop. I didn't get an alignment done, because I had intended to UCA's and new tires.

The UCA's deal was a bit of a joke, went with a brand that was "cheap" received them and was unhappy with the quality of the product prior to the install.

I shipped them back and ordered Total Chaos UCA's that were on sale, I have them installed now going to be playing around with the T bars after the winch is installed (Warn 12K in my ARB) I have new tires and wheels in the garage LX 18 inch rims with Goodyear Wrangler ATA

The Duratracs I have now with 68k on them are still in amazing condition but its time for something different.

Jason YY, would you care to share with us the brand of UCA's you returned? I eventually am going with OME, or Terrain Tamer set-up and UCAs on mine. Thanks.
