Any recommendations besides 4wheel parts in Redondo Beach?
One of the members was nice enough to help me out, but I don't see myself in San Diego any time soon....

Just wanna do a good 1.5" rank since I have the bigger tires.

Thanks everyone!

If you want to turn your stock TBs to raise the front I can help you out. I have the socket, heavy duty jack stands tape measure and the time to show you how to do it.
Send me a PM

I agree with everyone that this is definitely a DIY project. For the money you would spend to have it done, you could purchase a nice floor jack, a pair of jack stands, a 30mm socket and breaker bar...All of which you would use time and time again.

Its a great place for a first timer to start, do it yourself and report back when done! You will be shocked at how easy it is. The gas and time savings alone are worth it.

Yeah my garage in Pasadena. I've done it enough now that it takes only a few minutes to get it where you want things.

Guys, she is aware of the process. She was going to come down to San Diego and do it at my place a couple of months ago. Not everyone is going to be a DIY'er or at least at the beginning. And some people would just appreciate an extra set of hands to show how things are done the first time. If Paul or Fallon40 can giver her a hand that would be great!

Thanks J, I know you were super cool to help out...I just can't get the hours to do it with you in SD :)

We still have to meet up!

PM'ed ya
thanks!

Okay, so I talked to a guy and he told me, a lift kit would be ideal and it's about 2400 installed. How did lifting torsion bars, aligning and lifting the rear turn into a complete suspension lift?

Little help :(

sounds like someone trying to take advantage of you...

How were you planning on lifting the rear? I thought you were just trying to adjust the front?

Well the truck is level now. If I raise the front, then the back needs to be raised, correct? Ken and Paul both said that springs should work fine. Now I just need a place that can do all this for me. Any recommendations? I can order 1 1/2" springs from Slee about 210 total with shipping

Swapping the rear springs at a shop is 2hrs max. Springs you say are $210. TB Level is another hour and then alignment is about $80. So are $80/hr labor you should be around $550 total.

Just replied to your email. That price is high depending on what the parts are that is included.

maybe that price included new shocks? that would make sense

Not really or rather should I say it would really depend on what the parts are... A Slee kit with diff drop and new torsion bars, shocks all around and rear springs is only $1050. And in reality that is probably on the higher end if you shop around. Labor should run $6-900. Now if the guy is selling her a higher end shock then it would make more sense. For example, you could reasonably get into a set of four radflo non remote shocks and new rear coils and new torsion bars for under $1400 then you would be looking at around 1K for labor to install everything. And if a diff drop is included in the $2400 price with the higher end shock it is a reasonable price. But, it is way over kill for the type of driving she want to do and needs....

right, so I think most would recommend some OME springs (prob 865's) and adjust the TB's. Keep the stock shocks. Max you're looking at $550.

Another very cheap option is keep everything stock, crank the front and add 40mm of spacers in the rear. It's a great way to get the truck up and level before taking the plunge on the full suspension kit. In conversations with her it sounds like there is no offroading or carrying large loads yet so it may be a better place to start I went that way and have no regrets. I learned a lot that way.

Very true... And she is aware of that option. In fact I was going to install some coil spacers for her when she was going to come down this way back during the holidays. It just never worked out.
