My 1994 FSM has 36ft-lbs for the front differential drain and fill, and doesn't specify for the rear diff or the transfer case.

Also, the first time I did my own differential oil change, after dealer-only service, I found the shaped steel washer on all four diff drain and fill, which match with the 36ft-lbs spec. I see 29ft-lbs used with the copper washers. The transfer case had the flat aluminum washers.

For those reasons I've always gone with:

Front & rear diff, drain and fill: shaped steel washers @ 36ft-lbs 12157-10010
Transfer case: flat aluminum washers @ 27ft-lbs 90430-18008

Funny, my 1996 LX450 manual shows 39 ft-lbs for drain and fill plugs for both differentials.

No mention that I can find of the T-case torque for drain and fill....

My 94 manual is also missing the spec for the valve cover torque, but it's in the 1996 LX manual. I think you guys have the benefit of another round of QA.

Thanks for providing those numbers, as it pretty much confirms my guesses on the gaskets. It's interesting that they added another 3ft-lbs... maybe they had some leakage.
