Uh, lurker, the shed guy is not your typical enthusiast. He puts a little more skin in the game and really knows his sheeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I don't know if you mean that you agree with the guy or not?

Any who, how does he make over 600 RWHP?

I suspecting to hear that he's running well over 20 psi, with NOS..... at least.

i was leaning towards beleiving the story with the 80......but the 40 outrunning dirt bikes with 10 psi in the tires across the bush.........bullshitz..........!

crap....just read about the 454 in the 40......but still.........bull.....!

My 454 FJ55 will devore most dirt bikes..........as long as the dirt road is FLAT! Cruising the '55 at over 100+ on the street is scary ENOUGH!, don't think I have the heuvos to cruise that speed on dirt & no air in the tires! The '55s favorite victum / prey are Land Rovers / Range Rovers, or Canadian Diesels!

If you say so :rolleyes: . My ATK 605 will run 100 mph all day long. Maybe if we were drag racing.....but then i still don't think so. A week ago i was at a stoplight on the ATK and a harley pulled up beside me and revved up looking at me trying to convince me i should race him. Well, i caved in and did. Blew him away! :flipoff2:

You would easily whoop me in a short drag race due to weight / aerodynamics, but lets say entering the freeway, you might be ahead for a while, but.............................I can smoke / leave a long skid mark with a 35" tire.........and you just might have a huge brick in your rearview mirror, death grip on the factory steering wheel, hoping you are going to get out of hte way ;p

Putting the word harley and the vaguest attempt of performance in the same sentence is well, laughable.

They might cost $100,000 but the only time one even remotely has a respectable 0 to 60 time is off a cliff.

</Harley rant off>

I thought about that after i posted, but i'm not trying to support Harley performance, just stating that my "dirt bike" killed a v-twin bike. I do like harleys, but to each their own.

Lurker, you are prob. right about catching me on a freeway entry ramp, but it's just tough for me to pic a 40 running over 100 mph.

I love it that a dirt bike handed a HD he's behind. This just goes to show, people will buy anything if it is marketed correctly.

I think that was for someone else? :doh:
