If anyone is interested in having me sew them a tool wrap, let me know. I recently set up a little hobby-type business and have been making items for friends, family and local cruiserheads. More information can be found on the website I built for it - chickworx.com if you're interested. This isn't my day job (nor do I want it to be), but I'm more than happy to make up rolls for anyone who wants one because I know how handy it is to have an extra set of wrenches in each rig.

Nice product, and I saw on etsy that its a canadian product!

Do you have something that will hold a ratchet and sockets? I'm looking for something to store under my front seats.

Thanks! You saw them on Etsy? That's super . I set up the Etsy account after I got home from work and then did a search and couldn't find them. I'll have to try again, but I'm stoked you saw them there as it means I set up the store successfully.

And yes, 100% Canadian product. The first ones I made were donated to the Rocky Mountain Land Cruiser's River Shiver event (the banner of sponsors from the event is posted at www.rmlca.ab.ca), so that was what motivated me to get some stuff produced.

I thought about making something to hold sockets and a ratchet, and even went as far as purchasing a set of metric deep ones but they never made it in from the garage. What type were you interested in (drive type & specific socket sizes)? I'm sure I could scheme up something that'll work. Feel free to email me at info@chickworx.com to discuss...

(I set up a page on FB too so that'll be where I post pics of new items first)

What about a way to label them?

What do you mean by label? Do you mean label the pockets with the wrench sizes? Or, label the pictures? :hhmm:

Well, thinking out loud, if I were to get a handful...

How would I tell them apart without unrolling each one to find the tool Im looking for? Its fine if its a small tool set but half my truck is tools :P

I wouldn't want to sharpie all over it. So I was wondering if text could be stitched it them (i.e. "wrenches", "sockets", "drivers", etc.)

Or...attaching a strip of velcro loop and adding a matching section of velcro hook in the similar color as the wrap so that I can sharpie on THAT. Then its transferable to another bag if needed in a pinch.

Again...just thinking out loud :hhmm:

Ah. Good question. I have three sets that I use in my rigs and they're all made from different colour of fabric.. I was looking at embroidery machines last night... :)

Also, could always use different colours of para cord or different materials to tie them up.

Colors mean I have to remember :D

Fair enough. Then I'd recommend having embroidery done :)

Or a sharpie :)

I made it back to the basement this week. Here are a couple pics of the first one off the army green bolt.

...and then tonight I decided it was time to make one for myself. This one is a present to my Orange BJ42 and reflects my sense of humour a bit. I call this version 'Cruiser Chiq' ;)

Double black. Great at hiding grease stains.

The Cruiser Chiq one is genius. You should do more like that, with interesting interior fabrics. Maybe a TEQ print!.

Very cool

I'm need to outfit a 100 as a B1K chase truck and I think these would really be a clean solution. Doing anything for screwdriver sets? I suppose a wrench one might work?

Thanks.

I haven't made a screw driver one...yet. But I could. I would be a bit concerned about the bulk of rolling them up but I'm not sure how many screwdrivers we are talking about (5 or 35?) or how big they are (large standard vs small eyeglass screwdrivers). So let me know more about what you're after and I'll see what I can figure out for you.

Looking good. :) Maybe I'll have to pick out some tools for a custom jobby ;)

You should add some of these new pics to your website.
