Thinking about buying this 200 series, anyone think this rust is too much to go forward with? It's a 2018 with 90k miles from Montana, the rust didnt originally scare me as im in nw pa but doing more reading apparently it can be a killer. If it needs some work done to it im willing to at the price point, but not if it will be a losing battle. want to keep it at least 15 years. Anyone have any thoughts?

There has to be a better one out there. It’s all timing.

I agree with others. I grew up in Minnesota, so it would be worse there. But, that vehicle reeks of, "it's winter, if I wash it, it'll get dirty anyway." Or, "wash the undercarriage? You can't see that."

My advice is always, get a 570 from Los Angeles or San Diego. Fly there, crawl underneath; better than 90% (I'd bet) your eyes won't believe how clean it will be. LC's from there should be almost as likely to be good- but, more will have seen trails and snow, plus will cost more.
Usually

As a point of reference, I got my LX450 from suburban Sacramento, it's a 97. You couldn't find rust AT ALL. The proof was when I rebuilt "everything" I broke exactly zero bolts. That alone is, priceless.

Happy hunting
