Well, my Cruiser Chick (Neely) and I went out and picked up Tony's 40 this weekend. Great truck! I think he is going to be pleased. He will be back at the end of the month. Just in time to drive it to the meeting and join the club. We need to get all of the parts off of it that we want before he gets back!!!
He rolled it! Total loss! Just kidding. He hasn't done anything but put door pannels a tuffy center console and a stereo in it. We will post pics when we start the lift etc.
Thanks for the swweeeeett ride. I have been having a blast. I hate to tell you, but the wooden door panels were the first thing to go.. I wish that I would have known that you wanted them. I got $200 for 'em on ebay. Stay tuned buddy, I am going to get your old girl ready for the trail very very soon. I'll send you the pics when she is ready. Maybe then we can all decide on a proper name for ole girl.
Well the boy done gone crazy! Bought the HFS 4" lift, 35" Mud Dawg (looks like an MTR) and Eagle alloys. I sure wish I had his money. When he pays his credit card bill I'm sure he will wish he had it too. Oh BTW, we got the "hook up" on tires. GREAT deal!!!
That's why they call me 'Crazy Terry'!!! Unfortunately, I am just about tapped out at this point. Good thing I was able to get enough to make one mean arse truck before I ran out!!!
I can meet you Friday in Canton or Madison to pick up Tony's license plate bracket. If you have time, lets grab some lunch. Let me know.
Greg, Heath and I will be at Greg's tearing down my knuckles on Thursday evening and rebuilding Saturday (and maybe Sunday too).
I drove the GunRunner for about 15 minutes for the first time in over three months. The Metal-Tech-Cage in finished, cleaned up the interior and packed up the parts and supplies for the ride to Greg's tomorrow. I put the family top back on, but it sure hides that beautiful cage!
Late tonight.....I really don't know what my family has in store for me. I will try to get it to someone, hell, you outrank my redneck cousin, order him up
They were some of the finest plywood door panels ever produced for the Land Cruiser. And, having been on a '77, I like to think of them as part of the OEM 20th Anniversary package. I thought I might need them as part of my application package for the Elwwod boys... , I mean, what says white trash more loudly than plywood door panels?
