are greaseable shackles worth the extra cash? seems like i can buy all 4 regular shackles for the price of 2 greasable, i like the triangular ones from man a fre. also, man a fre says the shorter shackle goes in the back. is this correct?

its worth it man. get em inless ya like taking apart every once in a while..to greaaseeee em

I have heard (read somewhere) that the stock shackles are about 3/4" longer in the rear. Which leads me to believe that the longer ones should go in back. Can anyone help clarify? I have the HFS from CCOT greasable, they were all the same length.

I was starting to wonder that same question-- and I've got the darn things. Until last week. See, I hadn't greased them in a while (maybe 2 months) then I did grease all of them at once and drove around. Made *no* other changes that day, just grease on the shackles.
The ride quality difference was very noticeable.
I would buy them again.

thought so, but always good idea to get opinion of people who have field tested the product. muchas grassyass to all. and civil the rear shackles are longer, thats why i have ??? about which goes where.

dd which ones would you recomend?

I have the ones from Man-a-Freaks altho. I dont like buying from them all that much, they do have some tuff shackles. The set i have up fron is BEEFY ill post a pic if ya want or just check the other thread about studying...they are mean man and id swear by them.

did you install them per their instructions. you know? shorter ones in back?

Hey dd113,
Does that mean buy them from you?

If you don't need anti- inversion shackles, Daystar shackles are really HD.

hey hightide,
instructions?instructions? we dont need no stinkin instructions...they Did not come with any. But I do have smaller ones in there rear for two reasons...one I have add-a-leafs, two I the rear springs are in much better shape than the front. I wanted more flex in the front with a stiffer rear end. To tell ya the truth having the same size front and back you prob. wont be able to tell a diff. The ones from man-a-freaks are a 1/4inch plate up front. they can take a beating.

Just get the anit-inversion greasable ones because if you upgrade your suspension youll be digging them.

good luck bro,
-Al
