Full disclosure – I used this in my non-nav conversion, but had an issue where the driver side blend door was not properly actuating and only allowing max heat. After some guidance from GXOR and ih8mud, I realized the problem may be that my 2005 GX470 is an 11/2004 build date. I sourced another -60771 unit and it works fine.
This unit should work if your GX is a build date from 12/2004 – 08/2005. It does engage the AC compressor, and blows hot/cold air on the passenger side. Be sure to test the hot/cold and fan modes on both the driver and passenger side with the factory wiring harness in the passenger footwell before fully installing.
