Yes, it took longer than hoped for...

but TLCA has its new secure e-commerse site up and running in Test mode.

https://www.tlca.org/catalog/

You can register now and step through the process of buying something but credit card will not be charged and no merchandise will be shipped unitl 12/12. on 12/12, the site will be live so we can continue developing our internal processes to manage orders.

We are targeting 1/2/05 as our official go live date with coverage in Trails.

bang away please.

I get the following when using the FireFox browser...not sure if this is expected or not, but just so ya know....

looks great otherwise!
cert.webp

I got the same thing as Woody with Safari and Firefox... if you click thru it works fine though

as I currently understand it, in an effort to provide a level of assurity, verisign is a means to assure end users that the secure site they are visiting is actually secure. TLCA still needs to complete this task (again, we're in test mode now, still lots to do as noted). Basically we contact Verisign and confrim we are a legit organization with letterhead and a fancy web site.

I can assure everyone that the encryption technology and authorize.net credit card processing being used by TLCA's e-commerse site is industry standard and very common.

of course, the explanation above is my paraphrased version. If anyone wants further detail, please contact me off line and I will forward the programmer mumbo jumbo and lawyer type legalese.

oh please share that bit of wonderful technical jargon and drivel with us...while.....we......slowly........drift...........off...............to.....................sl.........

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

BTW: good name brands, good choice ;)

Looks nice, Tony. I would like to see larger pics of the t-shirts.

Can I make a suggestion. Can you make sure all the images live and are referenced on the secure server. If you don't it will creat all sorts of errors for different browsers. The browser will think that the images are unsecure and will warn the user.

make an image directory on the secure server for all the catalogue stuff and bobs your uncle!

Thanks John, I'll get this to the webmaster for fixes. We need input like this...and a little more troubleshooting:)

JOhn, thanks for renewing. Membership should be one item where shipping is correct. The osecommerce program won't let us enter the "real" shipping charge, so we're kinda having to reverse engineer it. I pologise. It's been a tough thing to fix.

that was for a canadian individual membership. it gave me a few shipping options, but when i got to the checkout that's the only price that ever came up, no matter which i chose. thanks for the help :)
