Nice looking 60:

Saw this in person in the parking lot at Country club, lots of rust in the rear quarters..

Just talked to the lady, as it turns out you guys had discussed the truck at the last meet! Might be interested in taking it and selling my pickup, just wanted to know more about the truck, she said Lachlan had checked it out and taken some pictures underneath. Anything I need to know? Might check it out tomorrow night.

Burns a bit blue, trans is good. Has new front diff, trussed front axle, pinion seals, ujoints, batteries. Common rust but I've seen much worse.

Burns a bit blue
Would the blue smoke be a head gasket problem? We had to replace the head gasket on the auto hj60 that we had a few years ago, blew blue like crazy, I remember it being a pain. She said it was just due to the exhaust, and had someone check out the engine and everything. Think I could get away with just some exhaust patches or is it something to worry about?

Well blue is oil, white is water/coolant. So I wouldn't think it's head gasket
Probably valve guides, I'm no expert on 2h's
It's not a constant burn, just when you give er the gusto on gear changes from what I remember

Hmm, either way I have heard they need a rebuild after a while and don't have as good a lifespan as the 3B. And at 446k, that's definitely getting up there, unless you are Jordan... What is his secret? Anyway I might take it for a test and see.

More learning on the mig welder in the near future for me then I suppose ;-) Haven't heard back from him so we'll see.
