I just read up on that plane. Actually was kinda cool. It was a modified travel-aire biplane. Made 150hp, was almost silent and you could reverse the prop on landing. Made for 100' landings without being in danger of rolling over from being to hard on the brakes.
I would assume it had other issues though haha.

What amazes me is that it was a 500lb steam engine that made 150hp. Pretty impressive power to weight ratio for steam technology.

yeah, well we just put 300 gal in the cabin today in alum tanks. that's enough test pilot stuff for me.
Flying around with a stoked boiler - sheesh......bad enough on a train. As I say, "When they're sifting through
the wreckage....." I don't want to be part of that conversation. J

If I was home I'd drive up to look at that, darn.

This looks decent...but is it just me or is the motor sitting cock-eyed?

Lowered it from $3500 to $3000 to $2500 in the first two days up, and when I emailed him he told me it was an automatic, but now he's claiming its a manual in his ad! If the km's were lower I'd trade for my pickup for sure

If you slam a automatic around it'll become manual pretty quick :hillbilly:. Due to the Brake Master Cylinder and the Clutch Master Cylinder I would be leaning towards Manuél

500,000kms is just broken in! not to mention that the 2H is a stupid simple to work on!

Nothing but manual for me!

Haha I knew this was coming X'D Dad and I had a bad experience with a 2H and its head gasket in the past. I'd really love a 2H again, only had a brief time with my HJ when I had my L before we sold it. Back when I barely knew what a land cruiser was... :steer:

Looked at it yesterday, FRAME IS RUSTED OUT
Could always call the guys at MarlinCrawler to find a frame. I think that's my favourite ToyTruck of all.
