This seems like a pretty good deal :smokin:

Gotta love the disclaimer: "is completely safe if used by a mature adult" :hillbilly:

Me too. I debated for about an hour last night and had a number of texts with the owner. I even got the thumbs up from the wife. I asked if he'd be willing to drive it down to the coast if I paid his fuel and flight back, but that was a no go. Would have sent a deposit last night if he agreed to that since I wouldnt' have the uncertainty about the drive back and would be a good sign if it was ok for the trip..

No offense, but would you take the risk and time for someone buying your car? Not to mention, the weather is kind of serious right now for travelling. I'm going to Calgary next week, if you want a lift up there I'll take you. I'm not too sure of the tires on that thing by the looks.

I would actually if I really wanted to sell the vehicle and I received a deposit prior.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm sure the truck will be gone Saturday, and if not I still wouldn't be comfortable driving an unknown vehicle back. That's why I was asking the seller if he'd be willing to drive down. If it makes that trip it's likely good, and if the truck is in decent shape there should be no problem with the drive (provided the weather is ok).

Heads up on the oil pressure. Not that bad of a deal. Count on a grand of work right away , beb's, water pump service, timing belt, and that is just the standard 200,000 km service for the motor , let alone the tranny , diffs , coolant, and a couple must have gauges. But ya not a bad price considering I'd do that to anything i bought at that mileage. If someone picks it up do a follow up.

That's the other reason I didn't pounce on it. I asked when the BEB's were done and when was the last time the front end was rebuilt. The only answer I got back was "the services are up to date." Ok, so what is that? My guess is it will need to be done. He said he has some service records, but didn't provide any further info. If it was my truck I'd be sure to give a straight answer on those items.

Contacted seller and he wrote that he has two guys coming to take a look at it on Saturday.
Weather is ugly on the Coquihalla so the trip up and back would be interesting.

That is tres cool!

Mike should pick that up for the residents of Gambier! :)

Yeah that would be great as there is no fire dept, or fire hydrants, no water reservoirs.
Will post this up on the Gambier forum.
Thanks

Yeah that's a lot more affordable. The vehicle needs to be 4 wheel drive as some areas are way to steep for 2 wheel drive. Thanks for the leads.

Low mileage HJ60
