My friend and I installed this last week, finally got around to taking a picture.

Some nice things about the TJM: Antenna mount (more like a wayward light tab), hi-lift points, and AC dryer skid plate all standard.

No it isn't as stout at the ARB, but its still pretty tough in its own right. I got it because I wanted something different, and I like the way it looks. Plus, this rig isn't really going to be a rock basher, so I don't really need the extra toughness of the ARB.

Let me tell you a couple of comments:

I have been the sole TJM importer in my country till 4 years ago and you should know the T-15 is the only Airbag certified bullbar for the FJ-80 series.

It´s welding and painting quality is way better than the other brand you mention. The other brand got lucky when they developed the air controled diff lock. They made so much money in Australia they purchased a factory which did the bullbars, another which made the suspension coils, another which made the rear bumpers, etc. and now everything carry their brand.

TJM was founded by two brothers, well off-road seasoned and experienced, many years before and their expertise was focused on bullbar fabrication. Unfortunately some years ago they sold the factory and I guess the new owners doesn´t have the same charm and heart as the old brothers !!!!!!

The T-15 concept was to design a very light but also a very strong bullbar without resorting to the brute use of steel. You will notice that the stamped steel has some angles which are computer designed to give strenght but at the same time they will absorb any impact in case you crash your vehicle and will lower damage to your chasis front end.

My 93 FZJ80 have both: a T-15 in the front (Warn 8500 lbs equiped) and in the rear I have the TJM rear bumper with a right side swing out tire carrier and a modified left side swing out (tire carrier removed and on it´s place I fabricated a removable support to hold either two water jerry cans or a aluminum cargo platform).

By the way TJM swing out tire carrier is mounted on ball bearings and has the best latch in the world, period.

I agree the T-15 is not so strong but it´s beautifull. Anyway TJM has also the brute full steel reinforced classic bullbar which can be fitted with the largest available winch and again it´s welding and painting is way better than any other australian bullbar, no pun intended LOL.

Very nice bullbar, DuManchu! :grinpimp:

I like the lood. Are their lift points on the TJM T17? Does anyone know?

Andrew:

Looks great. I am considering the same one. Can I get a side shot picture?

Thanks,

Steve

You're better off with the ARB... :D

I'll take some more photos in the next few days.

Looks good dude!

I find the hi-lift jacking location on the bumper very cool. Notice the "T", that's where the Hi-lift goes into. Cool indeed.

Both brands are good bumpers and work well. You don't always need massive amount of metal to produce a decent looking and an effective bumper.

TJM used to make light pockets that would fit a Hella FF75 in the turn signal pocket. I have a set for my Tacoma TJM. I don't see them on any TJM website anymore, too bad cuz I think they would look sweet on your 80.

Yeah, where did you pick that up?
