Just wanted to update the forum with our latest TJM snorkel installation for LC/LX 200 series.
I have LX570 and my friends also have TLC & LX570... we all decided to go with TJM snorkel for its low profile design and quality product.
Installation wasn't hard but very time consuming in order to properly trim, fit, rustproofing, reroute of SAIS line, etc.
It's NOT plug & play but expected... glad we let our friend with experience handled it.

The end result is just stunning and absolutely zero wind noise or movement while driving.
The quality of the plastic and hardware are also superb and worth the price IMHO.
Also noted, It seems like TJM updated their intake design.
The shop ordered and received 3 snorkels directly from TJM with same part# but some slight design variation was noted according to my friend (wish I took some pictures).

Anyway, glad we went with TJM, and it gave me a little peace of mind.
Next project is ARB dual compressor and Redarc BCDB dual battery system... should be interesting.

Friend @ Sakari Mortorsports in GA installed 3 snorkels for our LX/ TLC trucks.

TJM snorkel quality is just superb and fits like glove.... well almost.
You just need to modify it quite a bit here and there.
Glad I wasn't the one with hole saw, trimming, fitting, etc.

SAI line must be properly rerouted, otherwise, you will likely kill the expensive SAI pump while having fun with water.

It looks like TJM updated their intake design. 2 of them fitted relatively easily while first one was PITA to modify and install.
All same part# so go figure.

My LX on the chopping block

Looks great! Nicely done. Where and how did you re-route the SAI? I was a bit concerned leaving mine at the factory location.

The write up looks like a nightmare? I have zero snorkel experience.

It’s not the instruction (not bad but not great either) but the snorkel itself needs quite a bit of work to fit.
You will need two people to properly fit… one pushing while other manage to insert the bolt and align, etc.
Not very difficult but time consuming nonetheless…

Is the concern related somehow to adding a snorkel or just that if you add a snorkel, you might do deeper water crossings and damage the SAI pump?

I’ve not noticed this relo SAI pump discussion in other snorkel threads. Maybe I just missed it.

You have to relocate the rigid SAIS pipe regardless because your snorkel’s inner body wouldn’t fit without removing or relocating it first.

Also, what’s the point of leaving out the vulnerable water intrusion port for your expensive SAI system?
I think light water crossing is fine, but my friend recommended to relocate and seal it to prevent any unnecessary damage regardless.

Also, we found out that LX has an extra shield on top of SAI inlet while TLC doesn’t have any shield to deflect direct water spray into the pipe.

I wonder how high that SAI line opening is above the ground.

How was the SAI line relocated, and where was it relocated to ?

Does someone have a pic of how they relocated it?

Thanks. I didn’t have the interference with my snorkel (not TJM).

The factory line is sitting on the same level as top of your front tire.

You can either plug it into your snorkel, air box or engine bay with its own filter.

THanks.
