Does anyone have any experience on the titan drawer system for our 80's? From the website build quality looks good and at $379 price is pretty hard to ignore. Thanks in advance

There are several threads about them. I believe it was trail tailer that considered importing them but decided to go a different direction. Dobson has a set as well as and mud member cruzerdave here does to.

Edit. Not sure why mud wont link search results but here is a recent one of a few.

Titan Rear Drawers from AUS?

I have a Titan home gym. I'm not going to be setting any records for power-lifting in my garage, but their rack and accessories for it are extremely well built, period. Price or otherwise. I would feel confident buying anything else they do.

Titan Rear Drawers from AUS?

I found out the source for the drawers through another AUS supplier of mine. I ordered 2 sets for inspection through the maker, not Titan.

A few notes:

Not a bad drawer system for the money, but not a very secure one. The pull out fridge slide when open leaves the drawer below completely open. So locked or not it can still be accessed. The fridge slide latch needs some improvement as well, loose and the slide shifts on start and stops. I ended up adding a bracket and an additional rubber bumper to eliminate the thunk at every stop or start. Drawers operated very nice especially with 100# or so in each one. The 80 "wings" were a little off. One side fit nicely to the contour and the other side didn't. So I used part of a set of wings from a 100 series to get it to fit snug.

Yes, they were China made. I think they weighed around 145# a set.

Hmm, very interesting. Per the 4WD website, they do not ship internationally:

Unfortunately 4wd Supacentre will not ship internationally at this time.

I could be wrong, but I think they are manufactured by Lonman in China.

I would totally buy a set if the price was anywhere close to this. Is there a chance of a group buy from China? I have no experience importing products.

I recently imported some roof top tents from China via Alibaba. Not super difficult but the fees for shipping and customs definitely add up, especially on a small volume order (mine was for two hardshell tents). It also takes a long time for shipping (2 months) so you have to be patient.

Alibaba link for these drawers. Minimum order is 20 units.

Wouldn't be a bad idea if you had 19 friends with 80's in your area and they all wanted these drawers....

One more thing to add.... you can often customize your order. For example if you wanted the carpet to be a different color or something along those lines. Alibaba is meant for business to business imports but you can usually get a "sample" order of less than the minimum quantity. For these drawers I probably wouldn't go that route since it would be easier/cheaper to go with KISS drawers once you add up all of the shipping and customs costs.

As pointed out, these are Chinese drawers that Titan sells. In the US it seems like Dobinson has the rights to them and that's what I have. They are obviously marked up quite a bit, probably to compete with ARB drawers which are very similar in my opinion. The main advantages with the ARB drawers would be that they lock in the open position (if you're on a slope this is nice), you can order two sliding lids, and also stack more drawers on top.

I think they do a good job. I did have to use a drill to slightly widen one of the mounting holes because it wouldn't fit perfectly in the center. Maybe that's why some people's wings aren't fitting right on both sides. They also didn't include the bolts for the wings, but I actually like that. I have mine lightly held down with magnets, and I put tools and recovery gear underneath.

4WDSupracentre has a terrible reputation in Australia for importing unsafe, untested products.

At a magazine I used to run in Australia, we actually did a comparison review that started a national recall on their snatch straps. They were terrible.

ive got the Titan drawers in the back of my 80.

been in almost 3 years now, when i got them i paid $290 including the wings but picked them up myself as theyre only about 45min from home in Melbourne and installed them myself in about 2 hours. No rattles / squeaks
The only issue i had was the small bolts that are supplied for fixing down the top panels, the hex fitting on them is not very strong & rounds easily so I spent about $15 at the local hardware for stainless replacements

I did look at the ones ARB sell @ $2400 however for about 1/8th the price for what appears to be an identical product gave them a go and glad I did

If they do fail I would gladly get another set however dont think that will happen.
