Tires with no lift

Does anyone know if 235/85 for 15 inch rims are still made? I would love to run something about 31" on my BJ70 steelies.

There is 31X10.5XR15 made by Silverstone in Malaysia.

I'm pretty sure BF Goodrich still makes this size

From my experience the choices of tires mounted on 15" rims is shrinking on a daily basis ( at least here in the U.S. ). Most newer vehicles are being produced with larger rims and that is where most tire manufactures are concentrating their production efforts.
That is one of the main reasons I upgraded to 16" rims on my truck.

Hi 70 Lovers,
i'm new here, but not new to ih8Mud. i have (till now) an 80 (1FZ-F) that will be replaced by an Troopy (1HZ). I just got brand new BFGs for my 80 that i wonder i they would fit on my-to-be 2005 troopy; they are 285/75 R16. any help?
What i know is that the normal tires for the troopy is the 235, am i right? so what the max you can put without Lift, without rubbing??

Did you ever try the 285/75/16's ? I'm curious to see if they fit without lift or spacers.

Assuming his troopy is 78 with coil in the front, there is no need to lift, he might or might not need spacer depend on his rim offset.

I'm running on 285/75/16 with stock suspension, stock steel rims and it will slightly rub the steering component when I'm turning left at full turn. I think rims with slightly negative offset can cure this problem.

235s will fit no problem without a lift
285s are too fat in my opinion an you may need a lift.

255/85/16 is the money size for the 70 series

These are on my 97 LX 450 ( LT285 / 75 R16 ) and in my opinion would not look good on my HJ75.

These are 80 series wheels on hzj75.

How much lift are you running? Looks good

I have a 3" 4x4 engineering spring with OME everything else. The springs have sagged a bit but they flex well and tires never rub. I think a 2.5" lift would clear them nicely too
