I have the Nitto Trail Grapplers 295/70/18 on my 100. To run this size requires a 2 in lift. They do rub on the frame at full lock. A 1” spacer will probably fix the rub but I don’t like running spacers.

The Trail Grapplers are pretty loud on the road. I rotate every 2500 miles to make sure the noise doesn’t get worse.

Off road they hook up very well. Snow they work great. Ice... not recommended based on my experience. We are putting them to the test all this week in Utah.

We’ll be at the meeting too if you want to check them out.

FWIW, I've had great luck with the General Grabber ATs, locally and Baja trips. I'll return to the brand as well.

I'm a little late to the party on this but I really like the Cooper ST Maxx. I got 70k miles out of my 37's doing a 5 tire rotation. And I have not been gentle on the tires. As for wheel size, I would move on to 17's just to be able to run a 285/75r17 if I was runnung a 3" or less lift. Esentially a 34x11.5 tire size which would give you the hieght benefit of a 315 with the less width resistance of a 285.

YMMV :meh:

I have KO2's and they are a great tire. I also went up to 17" wheels on my 80. I would, however, say that I would not run lower than a 35" tire on my 17's due to there being too little sidewall for my comfort when aired down... you know, when flying through the air at Pismo...

I've had:
BFG KO
BFG KO2
BFG KM3 (Current)
Toyo M/T
Nitto Trail Grappler
Nitto OC A/T Xtreme
Goodyear M/T Kevlar

Only one I'd stay away from is the Goodyear due to cost.

KM3s on my 80 are surprisingly quiet and decent off pavement (so far).

Looking at this list, I've managed to encounter each of these tires in one way or the other. I agree, keep away from Goodyear tires, instead, invest in Nitto or Toyo tires. If you're looking for affordable options, check out 4WheelOnline, they have a wide range of tire brands and sizes.

Big fan of my Falken wild peak at3w's

I am a medium fan of my new Kenda Kelvers. They are 35/10.5'/17's.

Pluses: Almost no rubbing at full stuff, less pedal to keep the truck going (less rolling resistance), less steering effort, quiet.
Minuses: Taller/skinnier means more side to side sway. To compensate you have to run higher pressure which means a firmer ride.

These tires are heavy and likely very robust. They have lots of side tread and so are meant to protect the tire when aired down.

I bought the 315/75r16. Heavy tire but does well on road and off road as well.
