I currently have 285/45/22
22 x 10 et+25

would like to change to bigger tires 305/45/22 soon

however on my current set up
when I turn the steering full lock, the tires is already very near the wheel well

someone said before that I can push the wheel well inside so it wont rub with bigger tires?
does anyone have instructions for this?

thanks

Did you read the first post in this forum? Look at that tire database which is really helpful and report back. Are 22 wheels what you are going with? That's your first problem. Maybe don't do 22 wheels. Post some pics of your problem and it may help to explain. But 22 inch wheels makes me really confused. Lexus or not that seems extreme. Why do you want bigger tires when you have 22 inch wheels. What are you trying to accomplish in that set up?

my tires are almost due for change
on my current set up 22x10 +25
285/45/22 (toyo proxes st III street tires) seems to be a bit too low profile for a big car like lc200.

so am thinking to go with 305/45/22 (probably nitto terra grappler g2's all terrain) to have a different look and a bit more side wall

ive seen others run 305/45/22, looks better on lc200 however
their rims have higher offset like +45 so it does not rub when steering is fully turned.

photo below is my 285/45/22
i cant fit my finger in between tire and wheel well while steering is fully turned

I remembered before someone saying that the wheel well can be pushed back , but cant find the thread anymore.

PS. do our LC200 have camber settings? cause my tires wear down faster on the outside.

Make sure to get matching spare. If the new tire does not fit in the spare tire compartment then I would reconsider.

Seems like a risk and extra work for only 1/3 inch sidewall change. If you’re looking for sidewall, grab a set of 20 inch wheels that so many pull off their LX and make a real change.

Not trying to talk you out of it but I did run 305-50-20s for a while and hated the ride. Very squirrely feeling. It was instantly better when we went back to 285-50-20.

Don't let others talk you out of this if that's what you want to do.

Fitting a 305/45r22, NTGs @ 32.8" x 11.93", is very doable with mild plastic massaging. For comparison, my tires have overall dimensions that are larger at 33.2" x 12.3".

Everything you need to know and do is documented here. Don't forget to follow the link in the first post to instructions on tucking the splash guards too.

thanks for this

Ps. i also like 20 inch but as of now have no plans on buying new set of rims yet

Just to be clear, the wheel diameter is not completely important here. Only the overall dimensions of the tire.

I presented my example as it has incrementally larger overall tire dimensions than the one you're proposing. Your offset is a bit more aggressive at 25mm vs mine at 34mm, but there there's others that have fit these tire dimensions, and larger, with 25mm offsets.
