Any recommendations for a good on/off tire between 33 and 35 inches for stock fzj 80 rims (16" I believe )

Ha... This I know!! I'll go with 35's again if I can find a good one that won't have me eating Raman noodles all summer !
35s (315/75R16) are stock height friendly. 33s (285/75R16) is a better fit.

Rick I believe you rebuilt the front pumpkin on this 80 when Matt owned it ?!
I just put 285s on two night ago. Love the difference from stock. Really fills in the gap.

Very nice !! Did you paint the rims?
Yeah just basic sanding, primer, and a few coats of black paint. I did it with them mounted on the truck too. Just masked everything off.

Bob you should pick up one of my machined shirt side axles if you plan on wheeling the 80 with 37s. Twisting the splines sucks.
I've never been a wikked big tire fan. I run 255/85/16 (33.5") w/ 3" lift and 4:88 gearz. Soulda/coulda gone with one range lower for central american hills... Its a very nice set up for both road and off road. But, no doubt the "go big or go home" guys are wincing from reading this....
