Why not a BMC?
For GX's and 5th Gen 4R's it's akin to having one's tonsils removed. It's very common, painless and has benefits.
Even the smaller tire may rub at lock-to-lock and/or when compressed at lock.

I was able to run a 255/80r17 or 33x10.5 mud terrains on Toyota factory steelies with just moving around the fenderliners and removing the bolt that rubs and replacing it with a ziptie.

I am actually curious to how those two sizes will fit, myself, as I want to upgrade my winter tires at some point.

What's the offset of the steelies? I have some -10 17x8.5's sitting in my garage, awaiting my decision between 255/75R17 and 265/70R17. You think there's enough clearance for the 32x10's with the wheels sticking 1.38" further out?

They are around +15. I have no idea.
