I need to purchase new tires for my 2006LC (as I hate the Dunlop's) and was hoping to pick up a set of Mich Pilot LTX tires, like what I put on my 2003LC last year. Unfortunately, it seems they no longer make this tire in the OEM size 275/60/18. Any idea why they quit making this size and has anyone had experience with the Latitude HP by Mich? Also, if I wanted to go with an AT tire, like the Bridgestone Dueler Revos, will upsizing to 275/65/18 change the handling of this vehicle? I had them on my Suburban and was very impressed.

Thanks

Well, I have the Duelers on my '04 which I believe came stock. However, I'm about to get rid of them. I have (am selling) my 80-series which had BFG AT 285/75/16s with OME. The new LC is going to be a little more family/city friendly but I need the triple ply / tread for fishing trips, etc. So, I've been kicking this around too.

I've thought going 285/60/18 with the BFGs. Possibly 65s to get a little more clearance without getting aggressive.

Any other thoughts out there?

Cheers,
- Jeff

I went with t Nitto Terra Grapplers in 285 x 65 x 18. I wanted and agressive tread in a 33. This size only came in an E rated tire witch is way to stiff and heavy for this truck as a daily driver. Make sure to get a D rated tire if you go with an AT.

Try the new Michelin LTX AT2

Do you have them? How long? If so what tire did you have before? How is the ride etc.? I have been looking at them, but was hoping to get some first hand info. Thanks.

You can see reviews of them on Tirerack. So far they haven't been very good.

i put the ltx at2's on my 03 and they are awesome. great ride for a 10 ply. semi aggressive tread, and super in the snow!

Take a look at the Toyo Open Country A/T's, great tire
