Brand new to the Forum, looking forward to getting more acquainted and contributing!
So I recently picked up a new LX600 (2025 with AHC - premium trim level)
Looking to put some new tires/rims on her. I'd like to achieve slightly larger fillout of the wheel well and more aggressive (AT) tread pattern mostly bc I like the look if I'm being honest. I do run some light trails but nothing super technical (not rock crawling, no thick mud or deep sand, more dirt/loose gravel trails). I'm on pavement 95% of the time. I therefore want to maintain on-pavement ride quality as much as possible and keep noise to a relative minimum as top priorities, while going slightly bigger and more aggressive looking. I don't want to add fenders and don't want to have to trim or deal with UCA rubbing.
For rims I'm leaning toward the JAOS Tribecross 20x9 +55 wheels over the Vossen HF6-4 +30 or the less offset +38 JAOS in order to reduce poke and not sling trail and road grime all over the black paint. But would still welcome any suggestions on these or other wheels. I do want a bronze color.
For tires, I think from reading other posts on this forum that the best size would be a 275/60R20 to give me the look without concern of rubbing. Given the priorities above, what tire would everyone recommend? I listed a few below I'm researching and have read positive things about but always interested in new ideas/suggestions. Thanks!

Tires currently under consideration:
Michelin LTX A/T 2
Michelin Defender LTX M/S2
Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S (limited a bit in the AT3 world by the 275/60-20 size requirement)
Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT
Bridgestone Dueler A/T RH-S

Sizes sound good. I've run the Michelin defender LTX's on many vehicles, have the current version on my Lx600 and am very happy. Smooth ride, does well on light trails, and excellent in snow and rain.

I'd avoid the Michelin AT2. If you want a true all terrain, get the BFG KO3. Otherwise something like the defenders will be just fine.

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why you didnt go for the 700h OT, since it's basically can do what you want in a stock form. Unless of course, you don't like the hybrid or you need more cargo space. Or if you really want a 20" wheels with more rubber.

I'm no help...

Ya the cargo room decrease and altered folding of the 3rd row was a bigger deal to me than the fact that it is a hybrid. That and I just didnt want to pay extra for basically an appearance package that Id probably still have wanted to change.

That Vossen is fine as long as it is 9.5” wide or less. Note I run that Vossen width/BS with a 285mm wide street tire.

The Jaos +55 look really nice with the 275/60/20 Michelin. Check out the after market wheel thread.

I do not think the Vossen would look nice with the Defender unless you went with the edit 285/55/20. Totally different look but works well.

I would also add Continental AT to the list. I always try to get the lightest weight tire that meets my needs. Google may offer more insite on your tire options.

I went with this setup and am really happy:

Anybody have any experience with the Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT? Ive seen them rated well in publications but don't think ive ever seen a report by someone who's actually driven them for a time

If you are looking there add the Pirelli XTM AT, Yokohama g015, and Bridgestone Ascent. All in the P sub 120 load ratings. The google reviews are probably your best bet for detailed review info.

The GO15 is kinda tame looking but really does well in every area. I pretty much only run those on my F250s. They are pretty damn quiet and stamped MADE IN JAPAN.

I am a tire snob.

The problem with these is that you have to go aggressive AT sidewall look or complete opposite. There is very little in between unless you go with a higher inset wheel like the JAOS +55.

If you go with the Michelin I think the 285/55/20 is the way to go as it is about stock height but 20mm wider. You frankly would probably be most happy with this tire.

The additional power and torque of the 700 is noticeable.

Im going with 275 50 22s on vossens when I get my wheels. Going bigger and wider will result in hp and mpg loss. This tire is within 3% of oem so should be minuscule. Sure I would love to put bigger and wider than this but I don't think it's going to make that much more of a difference. Michelin defenders are the best but very much a pain to balance out correctly. So many people complaining about vibrations on the gxs but it's the tires.
