Michelin Defender. Goodyear Wrangler Adventure with Kevlar is pretty good compromise.

Any Pmetric A/T? Grabber ATP has a range of sizes in pmetric.

On Thursday I am putting Nitto Terra Grapplers on my T100 as test for soon to come need for tires on LC. The LC with get Terra Grapplers G2 if I find I like them on my T100. For T100 I am going with stock 265/70/16 with 112 load index. If I get same tire for LC I plan on going with 285/60/R18 120S XL. I do 80% highway miles and want more compliant ride compared to load 122 E.
Good luck with you selection.

OP make sure you stick with a straight metric or P-metric tire, instead of going to LT-metric. Regular or P-metric requires lower tire pressure, has a much more compliant construction, and weighs a lot less. You will notice a big change in ride quality for the worse if you go up to LT-metric. But, if serious off-roading is your thing, those qualities allow a LT tire to be more durable on-trail. Doesn't sound like that's much of a concern for you.

When I bought my 200 used it had the G2. They were pretty quiet but had the most noise around 55 mph. I liked the look of the G2 and the ride was good. I saved about 10lbs per tire switching to the Geolandar AT G015 and about $100 per tire. It is silent compared to G2 but not as rugged. As discussed above, you can't go wrong with Michelins.

Another vote for Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S....and I've had Michelin Defenders. These Coopers are quite, grip great, solid in wet conditions, and much better for occasional offroad. Defenders are great if you never leave the pavement.

How about Michelin ltx at2 in 285-55-20 ?

Just doesn’t fit the look of the LC but they are more practical

Not so sure about that. The AT2 is lacking in sipes, and so would likely have poor winter performance. That is unless one also plans to run a separate set of snow tires (seeing as the OPs location says Chicago).

Tires... at least it’s not a “will they fit”...

Jokes aside, there is no tire that is round, black, made of rubber that fits all applications. You are going to compromise somewhere so you need to find the right tire for your application (<most of the time).

Depending on where you live in the world, that may mean two sets of tires. A dedicated winter set and an AT for the rest of the year. Might be helpful if you share that.

The sales man in me wants to know that info, but I’ll throw some tire deets below to help steer the conversation:

The Michelin LTX, good overall, not overly aggressive tread to create road noise, but deep enough to handle some dirt roads and occasional snow. Not great for off road trips or complete winters like in Canada if they don’t salt roads. The tread compound is simply not ideal for ice.

Anything more aggressive like an AT tire you will sacrifice some highway smoothness and noise. The Goodyear’s with Kevlar are quiet, however, that typically adds about 10lbs x tire. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but it does when it’s right at the point of power on an all time 4wd car.

I love the KO2 tire but I do live in the South and rarely see snow. Lots of rain however and the occasional long distance road trips to Florida, NY and Colorado(once a year). I really don’t need a KO2 but just love the look of them. Any recommendations for something better for the rain and highway that will still look good on a lifted LC sitting on ICONs 😊
