I went off roading last weekend where the entry/exit was steep and very very icy(sleet).
I took almost 2 hours to exit that place since I could not climb back up. (I basically waited for the sleet to cool down, freeze and dry up before I tried to go back up on that icy road).
I'm looking for chains for the tires. Never used them. Any recommendations or tips???

I ended up getting two sets of chains on my local Craigslist; one set are plain chain and the other set are v-bar chains. I've used them a couple of times in deep snow and on icy trails and roads, and they make a huge difference. I have also used the cable style chains, and if you plan on just using them off road I would recommend skipping those; they won't hold up to the abuse that real chains will. The chains I bought didn't come with tensioner bungees, so I just bought a pack of rubber bungees at Harbor Freight and they work great. My suggestion would be to get one pair of chains, preferably v-bar, and try them out. If you still find traction lacking go for another set. I like to chain up the front first, then the rear if needed.

I can't really recommend one brand over another, I have only ever bought used chains and most of them I don't know the brand. Mostly I'd say go for something with a cam style tensioner with a tensioning tool, it makes life a lot easier putting them on.
