Howdy!

I have a 2020 LC and recently added a 2" lift kit (Old Man Emu), front bumper, winch, skid plate and sliders/running boards. The work was done by Slee Offroad in Golden Colorado...very happy with their products and install.

I kept the existing KO2's on the LC as they still had quite a bit of life left in them, but they look pretty puny after adding the lift. Now the KO2's are worn out and I am considering my options for replacement. Here are my desires:

1. Larger diameter tire (34? 35?) since the LC is now lifted.
2. New wheels that will move the tires out a bit and give the rig a more "athletic" look. (Current wheels are stock)

Some have suggested moving from an 18" wheel to a 17" wheel. Not sure of the pros/cons of that change.

This vehicle spends most of its time on the highway and is my wife's daily driver. But we do take it off road and have aspirations to do more overland adventures in it.

Any thoughts/recommendations on wheels and tires that will meet my needs?

Thanks in advance from a newb trying to figure this stuff out for the first time.

I had 275/70/18s for years on a lifted 200, including before/after adding bumpers and everything. That’s an easy size to live with.

I switched somewhat recently to a 285/75/17 which is slightly taller and slightly wider but is still very manageable.

I’d recommend 275/70/18 or 285/70/18, likely with some spacers that are 0.5-1.25 inches OR picking a set of 17s with an appropriate offset and going with 285/70/17 or 285/75/17.

If you are up for buying a new set of wheels, that’s probably the best direction to go IMO

I have the same suspension, but 2.5" and I run a 285/75/17 Cooper discoverer, which i'm pretty sure are still the lightest 34" a/t tires out there. They'd definitely still fit a 2" set up without any issues, but you still might need to remove the front mud guards.

Can always recommend the oem 17“ steelies woth five spokes if your brakes fit them (since I heared the younger US bling bling trims got bigger brake discs)

Main advantage to 17" wheels is (MUCH) larger and cheaper tire selection. I also like the look and performance of more sidewall, but mainly because it's what I'm used to. 18's will perform similarly.

34" seems to be the easiest larger tire to fit without too much KDSS interference. 285/75r17, 285/65r18, 295/70r18 something along those lines. Narrower 35's are easier to fit on an LC. There are some 35x11.5 options out there. I don't have a LC, so I can't comment too specifically on that. Lexus is easier to fit big tires.

If you like your stock wheels and decide 18's are fine, just get a 1" Bora spacer and it'll widen the stance and keep scrub radius near stock.
