Got a set of (hopefully) less flat springs than I currently have on my 84. Picked up new bushings and pins, just need to find a flat driveway (my driveway is angled, bad idea) and a few hours to do the work. Anyone have any things to do or avoid prior to this work? Gonna be some fairly soonish weekend, just got 32's on the rig, and the rear wheelwells are pretty close. Any offroading and I'd be shredding my nice new shinys.

I had to drill out my old bushings. A good brass drift was helpful to get the pins and shackles out, depending on the condition of your current bushings.

If you have a few days before doing the job, start spraying a penetrating oil, or WD-40 at the least on all the bolts you plan to remove. A big breaker bar, drift, and 3# sledge will usually get the job done as well as jacks and jackstands.
