hi,
I received my OME shocks and springs the other day, and the local garage who said they could do it with my service now say they can't (more likely can't be bothered), so I am going to have a go at it with a chap I work with. He's mechanically minded and thinks we shouldn't need spring compressors, after looking at it. using jacks under the axle and body should do it. Is that correct?
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. first time tinkering with suspension.
Also, could someone verify which shocks/springs go where as they are not labelled.
My cruiser is a KZJ70.
Thanks very much!!
Fred

disconnect the shocks, lift the frame on jackstands and use your bottle jack betwen the frame and axle control arms to push the axle down.

And here is the final result for anyone interested in what it looks like. Can't get over how smooth a ride I'm already having! Improved on road and off road. Highly recommended. Just need some bigger wheels.....

Here is my experience
I have a kzj70 1995 and had put on ome kit 2" with caster bush set and steering damper and feel that the performance of my truck decreased noticebly. And I hear weird transfer noises on 4H mode with 50miles. So I am really disappointed. Also the truck is tilted front with 3 cm.
