ohhhh yeah the fenders...i do remember you were taking the damage really well...the usuall joking around...i kept thinking if it were me i would be pissed...then...a week after my new fenders...i crunched one...i was pissed for 2 min...then ...ohh well...then saying..."its a cruiser" :)

wait that was tyke saying that

i was in denial still i think :)

VTcruiserbitch has ...um....NEVER been in the woods in his 40.
The only way it would damage like the photo is if he hits the garage door moving it in and out.

Nope. Does not hurt at all. :)

And from you it is only a mild irratant. Like sandblast grit on your scalp.

Just envy baby....just envy.....

Jonny, if you remember, I did not get out of that unscathed. BOth new fenders (valentines day gifts from the best wife ever) were crushed and mangle on that and one other obstacle that day.

Stupid red trail.

That is an OLD photo- look at the winch- look familliar BigRedfj40?

My old winch..... I'm we both got rid of that boat anchor:D

These pics bring back some great memories..... those were the good 'ol days where we all hung out as much as possible and wheeled every weekend rain or shine. What I wouldn't give to have those days back:frown:

Dan what trail was this?

Johnny C really diggin out some good stuff here. Very good memories indeed. I'm gettin' all misty! I'd still be doing it if my wife didn't sabotage the condom! Twice.Hey I don't spend really any time on MUD to chat, on accounta the condom thing, so I don't recognize any screen names but it sure is good to know every body is out there. Jr. printed out the old NCC newsletter and brought it over to me. Funny to look back at that and remember how consumed I was with all things cruiser. Hello to all!!

Question. Despite being intimately involved in most CCC events be it in MA or F&F, what year did we have the first CCC? I have incredibly fond memories of that 1st event. I still have copies of the trail maps and directions I drew up for trail leaders. I think my best memory of that was taking a novice group out through catamont on some pretty mellow trails. After a while thinking that if I had signed up for this run I would be bored to death so paint jobs be damned..I took the whole group down a steep rocky trail that went right through a very deep mud/water whole (not the bathtub) with a hard rocky climb out. Just about everyone took on water, winches and straps got used but at the end everyone was so psyched about what they had just done. It was priceless to watch people exchange their experiences. Good stuff.

the 1st CCC was in 94 as far as memory serves me...i too married and kids...havent wheeled in years...

I remember Jim L. didi the cooking that year and his grill is on top of his rig...then decided to wheel up the backside of the chimney. I have a bunch of pictures too that I will attempt to scan. Hope all is well with you Johnny.

Wow, very nice boys. I can remember that trip like it was just a short time ago. Saw you tim at the last F and F,. I wonder if those trails are still open,as I have fond memories of that trip as well. Thanks for bringing a slight tear to my eyes,as the time has passed quickly?.

all these pics bring back great memories. The 1st 5 years of CCC were the best in my opinion. Trail leading several trails each year was a blast. Any ever hear or see of Roger Carrano or any of the other LI boys?
I was just looking at pics from several years ago with Ernie and Kathy Rago, James Asti and the old crew..... seems like yesterday:frown:

I just called roger last week to try and get him back into wheeling. His rig needs some work so we will try and help him get his cruiser up to speed. I have just gotten my trail rig(the purple one in the photos) back from California a few months ago. I tried to sell it cause I wanted to keep a bj42 that I thought might be a little more street friendly. I have done a ton of work on my trail rig in the last few weeks. I painted it twice since I have gotten it back. Now it is a nice hunter green with lots of stainless hardware. I am also in the process of making a nice rear top out of sunbrella. Also shortened the real roll bar and added landrover soft top bows. I should be finished in a few more weeks. I will post some pics very shortly. Yea I remember James Asti, and all the rest of the cruiser folks, those were great years of wheeling. Its nice to be back into wheeling and cruisers.

what about Dave and Kim Hulmes? They were from TLNJ. It seems we've all lost touch and many have fallen off the face of the earth.....

I really need a scanner.... I have a ton of pictures from the old days. Back from CCC 95, 96, 97, 98.... the preruns for the event, Dave Frieds place and of course Vt. wheelin' at its' finest:hhmm:

Jim Riel was up at my place last weekend and we were looking at old photo's and video's. What a hoot. Your co-pilot is Jay Belanger. He got married and Tyke and many other firends of Jay's put together a cruiser for a wedding present. I guess marraige was too much fun 'cause he never took it out. Just sat for all these long years. Johnny..I am an introvert by by nature and try to stay out of photo's so I think your trigger finger has epilepsy. Jim...glad to hear you have your truck back on the path to righteousnos. I look forward to seeing photo's. I also have a lot of good pictures but I'm too numb to figure out how to get them attached. The files sizes are too big.
