I will be changing the timing belt on my wife's 02 runner with the 5VZ...

I will be ordering parts from CDan and would like to know... other than the timing belt, water pump, fan belts/hoses, what else to I need to buy?

Thanks,
ML

Theoretically, a new crank bolt should be used. A lot of people, including dealers, just put loc-tite on the old one. You will probably want new coolant: Toyota Red or Pink, or Zerex asian formula.

Other possibilities include the two idler pulleys, the tensioner, thermostat, and the cam and crank seals. Whether you do them depends on your maintenance history, the condition of these parts when you get to them, and your personal choice as to how complete a service you want to do. Except for the thermostat, I would do these every other TB change.

Do you have a 250 lb. torque wrench and a pulley holder tool?
