Absolutely! You just have to supply copious amounts of PBR and pizza. Also, helping with a brake job is always a plus.

:D I love my shelves.

You wish that you looked that good in pink! Plus, you forgot that the bow tie is what made the outfit.

I thought the sparkly hat was the best part

Success!!! Been a long week....thanks for all the help guys!

Good work! Did you do your own alignment too?

Measured it close enough and will probably take it Monday to get it done right.

Mine drove so much better so I'm sure you are excited to be done.

You taking it to Boyce for alignment? If you go somewhere else let me how it goes / cost. I'm just curious.

Did you address the raw exposed surfaces of the tre that will rust pretty quick after rain? I wish I would have clear coated or primed mine before install. I just clear coated mine yesterday while installed and it would have been a lot easier to do pre install.

Judging from our chat, I think you are like me and don't want rust on newly installed parts so wanted to see what you did.

Taking it to Boyce tomorrow. I did spray all the ends with clear bc I like how they look and didn't want to go with black. If you go to Cruiser outfitters site, they actually suggest painting them. I did the rods in matte black but need to do some touch ups after I used a wrench to turn them. Figured I'd wait until the shop works on it then get them looking nice again.

Well, scratch that...Boyce said he doesn't do alignments. Sent me to a place who can't get me in for a week....unhappiness. :frown:

That is odd... Boyce did mine and in fact did a great job imo.

Did you tell him it was an fj40? It is true he doesn't do alignments on modern cars (doesn't have equipment), but he has those brace things to do an alignment on an fj.

I suggest calling him back and make sure they know it is a 40.

Also make sure you talk to Boyce himself.

Call him back so you don't have to wait so long, he usually gets me in and out.

Called back-thanks...he said he'll do it first thing tomorrow. I said it was an old FJ40 before but maybe he didn't hear correctly. I couldn't wait another week...I MISS MY TRUCK! :steer:

Pappy is back in business and steering is improved! Who wants to go wheeling? :)

Thinking about taking my bike up there next monday.

Hmmm....let me check my vacation days. This pesky job is just getting in the way of my fun. :D I would like to go on a day when it isn't crowded though.

The family is ready for a vacation day here as well. A day during the week = Super!
