When I took off the steering relay rod, I have noticed that one tie rod end oozed grease, the other was kind of dry. The boots were fine. The one I removed I am keeping as spare. The one I bought new, I installed with the Slee relay rod.

Questions:
1. Do I need to fill the boot with grease (I assume moly since it is gray)
2. How do I get grease in there? I don't see a Zerk (sp?) on the tie rod end.

Thanks

That means the Lexus dealer that install those two years a go got over zellos and pumped grease into them, or the shop that did the front end service did it, or the shop that replaced the disk brakes did it, etc etc.

So this is what you get when you don't do things yourself:
1. One tie rod end oozes grease
2. One is dry or drier
3. And you don't know what to do with new ones unless, of course, you are on mud.

They come pre-greased so the lexus dealer couldn't have pumped grease into them.
