So I went to test drive a 2007 4Runner today, truck seems to be in good shape.
I did however notice a single thumping sound when raising the rear hatch window. Sounded similar to if you have something unsecured in the rear, make a sudden turn and it hits the side of the read. It always seemed to come at the same point, maybe 20-25% up from completely open. No similar sound when lowering the window.
There's a small dent on the hatch itself, maybe 1/2" deep, centered immediately above the trim on top of the license plate area. I don't think it would interference from that.
Is this a known issue or is it something that I should be concerned about?
