Just wanted to say i had a positive experience with a local guy in Helena. just a small foreign car shop. I was out of town and had a issue with my wifes Honda throwing engine light and rough idle while she was still in Helena. He diagnosed it accurately and i felt his prices were fair. Seems like a honest and skilled guy. Recently my wife had AC issues i didnt want to fix. He did a nice job on this stuff as well, easy to work with. When talking with him i found out he is a Toyota trained tech who mostly worked dealerships. Said he always did the LCs when they came in because no one else wanted them. Then he ended up owning a 97 80 series for a while. So he is at LEAST familure with the LC which is more than most people. Talking with him he did konw some of the ins and outs of the 1FZ.

I have no affiliation but did have two good experiences for simple work on my Honda. Ask for Kyle at Helena Import Repair.

If we can keep this thread rolling- another gold star for Peter and the Rising Sun crew

Before our Colorado trip (1900mi total, around 150mi dirt) i had Rising Sun in BZN balance, rotate and alignment- they did a fantastic job. Steering wheel dead center, wheels/steering super smooth.

If anybody is in the Billings area and needs THE GUY to work on your 'Yota, Steve Yates at Yates Repair in Laurel is that guy.

He's reasonable, fast, and a super nice guy to boot. On top of all that he's a true blue Toyota 4x4 guy, so he knows what he's doing. He helped me set up my rear diff on my Nissan way back when and solved a boatload of problems for me. Can't recommend him highly enough.
