Just putting this out there to get some feed back or to introduce it. Thule is making trailers and I thought this one could make a good universal/trail trailer. They offer it in two sizes this is the larger one sells for around $1500.00

Check it out!

Harbor Freight Tools has one that is almost identical to the Thule in size and capability...for around $400.
look for utility trailer on the HF website

*** Nevermine I just checked HF and Northern tools sites and it's not on there anymore. ****

Ya, I've cruised the Thule site & drooled a bit. Doubt it would hold up to offroad though. I'd certainly want to look at it in person. That kinda cash could buy a nice steel trailer.

FWIW I trashed a HF trailer w/too much gravel. Truck could pull it, trailer couldn't hang w/the weight.

me too. I had one a few years back, and i loaded it up, made it 4 blocks and the tounge bent like silly putty and started draging. Couldnt stop laughing the whole way.

The Thule and the HF trailer would be fine (with a couple of minor mods) for what I use my M101 for, hauling 3-400lbs of camping gear and kid crap. I wouldn't use the little HF trailer to haul gravel with.
For what HF wanted for it I could see buying one as basically a trunk extension. For what Thule wants I'd wait and find a M101 or M416 instead.
FWIW, I hauled my M101 all over the trails of SW CO and it just bounced along behind the 80 with no complaints. As rough as I treated it at times I would likely have bent or broken something on a lighter duty trailer.
