Thule Rack System with Safari Basket

So.....this is truly a sad sad day. I will be bidding adue to mud for a while as I have sold my 91 FJ80.

It was a tough decision but in the end I think it was the right one.

I will be back...look for me someday on the 40 or 55 threads!

I have a bit of surplus that I would like to get rid of.

Specifically a Thule rack system. It consists of 8 feet (yup 8 gutter mounts), 4 bars, Yakima ski racks with adapters to fit and the Thule Playpen (painted dark grey) with 2 extensions so that it covers the full length of an 80. Comes with fairings and locks if I can find them

Nice thing about mine (IMHO) is that it doesn not have the stock attachment for the basket (I made my own) so it uses the standard feet, not the high rise feet so it looks much more sleek.

Would like to sell this soon so I can get a new system for my new ride. Oviously this will have to be a Seattle area sale.

You all have been good to me so I want to try and make this a good deal to thank you for all your help.

Yeah this is used... But New at REI this would run you about $1,300.

How does $600 OBO sound? Let me know what you think.

would you sell just the basket w/extension? already have Yakima bars, and accessories (more than I need, but this looks like a nice setup).

EDIT: oops, now I see that you want a local buyer. If you're willing to ship, lemme know. IIFC the basket breaks down into smaller pieces that wouldn't be too hard to ship.

whats the dimensions of the basket? any pics of it on your 80? if youre willing to sell just the basket + hardware to mount it to cross boars, im interested. already have the 4 loadbars + gutter mounts. somewhat local...vancouver BC. interested in a partial trade? ive got a yakima skybox 18...that i can throw in plus $...

I am presuming those are the 300 gutter mounts.

So just an update,
I have a few people trying to work out transportation etc. and a few others who have been interested in shipping and splitting it up.

I would prefer to keep it all together to lessen the trauma to each individual part. But if it worked out that one person wanted 1 part and another wanted the other, I may consider it.

Regarding shipping, by my guess shipping would be around $100 give or take $25. I would also have to pack it myself so I would have to add a bit of money for that and for trying to bribe friends for use of their trucks so that I could get it to UPS.

But again I have a few leads and will work through them as they came to me (1st come, 1st served, kind of a thing). If #1 cant swing it...it goes to #2, if #2 cant swing it it goes to #4...then to #5...back to #3 then I call #1 again before I set my hair on fire. I know it is a wierd system but hey....thats how I roll.
