Thule 300 Gutter Mount Actual Height

Hi all. None of the dealers in my area have gutter mounts in stock. I'm trying to find out where the standard model 300 5" height is measured. Can anyone tell me if is actually taken from the gutter to the top of the bar, bottom....?

I just bought a Thule rack setup off craigslist that came with the 300 gutter mount pack. They were too short to clear the safari roof on my 61 so I had to go buy the 387 pack to make it work. I just ran out and measured one of the 300 feet. Looks to be about 7" from the bottom part of the foot to the very top of where the bar would be. So my guess is that the 5" is taken from the bottom of the bar to the bottom of the foot.

I have a set on my FJ40. Clears the fiberglass roof by about 1"
