Thanks, I’m about to go back into trying to figure this out mode because my truck didn’t want to run this morning and threw a code. Haven’t had a chance to put it on a code reader yet.
With how cold it’s been, I bet it’s the TPS or APPS. I wanted reliability so I opted for replacing the whole TB and not worrying for another 200k miles. Just swapp it again but disconnect the battery before starting it

Doing this today — have a shop fiddling with it actually. Three kids getting in the way of me doing it myself.

I just had the TB replaced on my 1998 by Pearl Street Garage - I've been taking my LC there for the last few years and I feel like they've done a good job of taking care of things for me.

I am having the same issue I did before. Shop called me, said that my new throttle body is bad (that I purchased from Stevenson Toyota) and they want to order another one. I instructed them to put in the one that is already on the truck (that registered the code before) and I will continue this adventure of trying to figure out what's actually going on.

I went through this same exercise with another shop last winter when the truck sat in the cold, registered the P1121 code and forced me into this adventure. It is quite wild, really puzzling!

I asked the shop if what the throttle body connects to could be bad, they didn't really have an answer for me.

Ask them if they disconnected the battery and let it sit for 5 minutes then check again. If that doesn’t work I would for sure look into a loose pin.

They said they disconnected the battery, no idea how long they let it sit for.

Nervous about the loose pin. Sounds like a daunting task replacing all of those.
