I'm in the process of replacing the rear diff actuator, and the manual calls for TB1324 for the shift fork bolt.

Now the problem is that I can't source TB1324.

Some sites say the Loctite equivalent is 243, some say it's 271 - which I can not source as well.

I have 243 (medium) or 270 (very strong) at home, so it's tempting to use one of those. I think if I'd use the 270, than there is no removing the actuator anymore.

Could buy 2701, as that is available, but I believe that's different from 271.

Sooo.. What do you guys think? Can I get away with 243? Or should I buy TB1324 from ebay (~2week shipping & car is stopped till then)

If you have a Honda or Yamaha motorcycle dealer near you both Yamaha and Honda private label ThreeBond 1324. I believe that Honda Bond 4 equivalent is what you want. Its a grey colored semi drying sealant. I think the bolt is exposed to oil inside the actuator and the 1324 is not affected by oil. Another option might be green locktite ( designed for oil environment) if its merely to secure the bolt from backing out.

I've found a twitter post where Loctite NA states that 243 is the equivalent, so went with that. Hope it won't fall out:D
