Would anyone know the thread size and pitch on the oil sender unit that screws into the oil cooler on a 1980 BJ40 with a B engine. I am trying to find a male to female adapter for a mechanical oil pressure gauge.

Should be 1/8" × 28 BSP
Yep ... or strictly speaking: 1/8 x 28 BSPT where the "T" stands for "taper" because the thread is tapered

Yep Tom you are correct. And it uses a 55deg angle rather than 60deg. Just a tid bit for fun. Thats why so many people struggle when they try to fit a 1/8 npt.
