Thread chaser for head bolts

Hello,

before I buy it online, does anybody have this chaser?

(1) 912-0004- thread cleaner (NOT a tap!) 11mm x 1.25 thread pitch - $60.48

It is ARP thread chaser - cleaner which I would like to use for cleaning the threads on the block for the head bolts.

I made a chaser by taking an old head bolt, and cutting grooves in 3 slots around it. cleaned the cut area with a small file. Worked great.

I've done the same thing. Works great.

Did you make sure its not available from your local ACE hardware ? Were your old bolts corroded when they came out ?
