Hi everyone, would you mind taking a look at these pics and telling me your thoughts on the underside of this LC? Spent it's life down in Lexington, KY area.

Seems like most of the rust is at what looks like the weld joints??

That is pretty clean, but you can certainly find cleaner if you want to.

I recently wrapped up a search for a very good/excellent condition 2018-2019 with lower miles. Ended up traveling to TX to get it, but the frame and undercarriage have zero rust. It's like new. That said, compared to say, a northeast car that gets driven in winter...that frame is very clean.

All depends on how much you are willing to compromise and/or how much of a hurry you're in.

What kind of feedback are you looking for? What are your concerns?

Wouldn't dissuade me from buying. But my opinion is what you paid for it. I think about it from the time perspective of how long will I own this thing how likely am I to have a problem and how much is this really going to change the value of the vehicle when I sell it.

I guess I’m looking for opinions on severity of corrosion. I’m from Michigan so everything is Rusty up here. But was curious to know if this looks clean, fairly clean, or something to walk away from. I’m not in a huge rush and this one came upon this one for sale, $63k. I wouldn’t be subjecting this truck to the Michigan winters.

It is mild, BUT the cancer is there. If you are not planing to drive this in Michigan winters and subject it to the salt-death, I would keep looking for a clean southern one. If you were planing to drive it like whatever, that would be another story.

From TX. That looks pretty good😁

Nothing structural; no bolts rusted etc ; easy to work on. Looks clean. I would guess corrosion level is like 1% corroded. No reason to look for something cleaner IMO.

Edit* if concerned about getting worse (it likely wont or would take forever) or aesthetics you could have it sand blasted and it would be perfect.
