I am finally returning from deployment and going to be replacing my wornout interior panels with HDPE panels. I am thinking instead of attaching the original switches to wire up some waterproof rocker and contura switches to replace the window and powerlock switches. For the window I know I will need reversible polarity DPDT switches as it is controlling a DC motor.

Thinking this will work. It is designed for opening and closing marine hatches.
Contura Switch DPDT Black - (ON)-OFF-(ON) - Blue Sea Systems

I would need to work through the wiring diagrams to properly install one on the drivers side that controls both and will most likely just delete the window lock switch from the equation.

Any thought? or better ideas?

I thought about doing the same to my truck. Relocate the switches to a new center console I designed in sketchup but have yet to actually build.

Keep us posted with what you decide.
