I know not everyone will be able to make a 2nd week+ trip in one year. But I really want to do this at least before I start s***ting out kids.

Option #1

Black Hills SD. in July.

Pro's:
Climate
Scenery
Style of wheeling
Atmosphere

Con's:
1000 miles from me
I suspect less of you guys will make this type of trip.

Option #2

South/South Eastern US.

This idea is more open to discussion. I'm thinking maybe the TN, KY, AR, OK, TX...?

Pro's:
Much closer for me.
Much closer for you Indiana boys
More likely to get more people to go.
Should have the fun, unknown, adventurous, park hopping feel of PYS I (which I miss dearly!).

Con's:
I suspect this will have to happen in the summer months, therefore, it will be HOT and humid! (maybe a fall trip?).
Has the "park wheeling feel"
I suspect the scenery and atmosphere will not be as nice as SD.

Option 3: ??

Thoughts?

Haven't narrowed that down. I'm open to it though. Have they set a date? The date is not on the TLCA website.

Here is an Option 2 option.

I'm not familiar, first hand, with any of these parks, I'm just going by reputation.

I consider this to be a good "South" option. I imagine a SE option would be in TN or KY. I haven't researched that yet.

The flat nasty option is just there for reference (though it would, at least, be a good place to crash for a night on the way back).

STFU.

You only work 9 months of the year.

The funny part is she's gonna bust major ass getting through school in record time so she can work a couple of years, start spitting cubs and stop working. You'll be working 12-14 hours a day to support all those people in your house and pay off the student loans for the degree she isn't using, but you'll be happy to do it because anything is better than being at home with screaming brats and a wife who hasn't had an adult to talk to all day so feels the need to yammer your ears off when all you want after working all day is to be left alone. During the weekend you'll drink 30 Miller Lites/day just to keep from eating a gun.

You watch. It'll happen.

....So, anyways, back to making the best of our "sad lives"....

Gum, that's freaking hilarious!

Prolly so.....all the more reason to go have fun. Plus Gumby is child free so he should be happy and up for some new wheeling!

Black hills would be cool, i dont know if ill be able to swing two trips next year. Ill be in harlan Ky in the spring for my bachelor party, after that in september im getting married so ill be out of money. Ill be able to do 2 trips for sure next year provided i still have a job and im not getting divorced. My vote is black hills, ill try to make that for sure, and im also going to try to make the regular PYS, so i guess ill be at one or the other.

BHCC is July 18 to 21.

If I'm going solo, I will plan around that.

Oh, and just to "keep it real" from a personal stand point, I know a second trip of this type is out of the question for me, so, I will just be on here making witty/snide comments based loosely on the thoughts of yous guys

He won't be able to afford Captain. It'll be Miller Lite 30 packs.

I thought you were supposed to be happier now that your kids have moved out?

Perhaps your "kid having advice" is inaccurate. Perhaps you are just a mean grumpy guy.

Put me for 50% in on a dakota trip. I have to see how bad the wedding vendors milk me and go from there. It definately looks like a cool place to wheel, i went there as a kid and the scenery is just amazing! I for sure want to see what the wheeling is all about.

Just a thought, my idea is for the summer of 2013 either a moab trip, or the honey badgers crash the colorado toyota jambo. Thoughts?

Oh and the hell with kids, my sisters keep s***ting out kids, and while fun I still have yet to see the point. They milk ya dry just to grow up to resent you. Im happy being with my disposition in life of being the cool uncle.
